Julie Lee
A Lady Of The Canyon
Julie Lee is a singer songwriter and lead vocalist/acoustic guitar player. Her band, The Julie Lee Band, includes musicians that perform with A-list musicians with their own discography such as Bob Dylan, KT Tunstall, Scott Weiland, Chicago, Pink, Shania Twain, Dwight Yoakum and many more. Performing with her band or in a solo, duo, or trio acoustic setting, Julie brings visceral lyrics and a raw energetic sound. With influences in country, soul, gospel, blues, and rock there is an eclectic sound favoring Americana music. From the early ages of 5 and being raised in a music business family, Julie was exposed to many styles and records. Her father Dino Airali, produced Phoebe Snow's Poetry Man album and worked with Leon Russell @ Shelter Records, George Harrison @ Dark Horse Records, Melissa Etheridge and more. Inspired, Julie attended the Grove School of Music and and set her sights on writing and live performances. Julie Lee went on tour with The Ventilators, performing on keyboards and background vocals at numerous venues including the Santa Monica Civic Cente, The Budokan (Japan) and various other venues. Julie also recorded background vocals for Michael Jackson due to her unique, soulful, and raw sound. Julie Lee has had songs accepted by film and tv sync companies such as Lions Gate, CBS, Mad Doll Music (Sony), and more. She has received awards for best song and best performance on “Green Light”, “Side Of The Road”, and “ Only Time Will Tell”, (available on all streaming platforms). Julie's audio compilation called "Bare Soul" includes all her songs which have been released on streaming platforms and distributed by Cdbaby.com. Julie Lee has been opening for major acts such as Naked Eyes, The Little River Band, Blood Sweat & Tears, Jefferson Starship, Gilmour Project, and many more at such venues as the Saban Theatre, Starlight Bowl, Canyon Club Concerts and Events, and many others. Having worked at Geffen Records and Sony Music, Julie Lee combines a grass roots style with modern day platforms.
